Tips for Outback Nampa

Outstanding service. I must have had 5 servers. Terrific prime rib. Rolls are boring. Salad is boring. Wine is sour. Coffee is like the dregs.. but... the chocolate desert with vanilla ice cream is incredible. Incredible.

Skip the bread, coffee, salad and wine.. but DO try the prime rib with some tiger dill sauce on the side. Send the meat back if it's not cooked enough or too salty, the cooks you can't see aren't interested that you want rare or well done. Medium can mean absolutely anything.. probably whatever is the easiest to slice... but the quality of beef is outstanding.

This particular Outback steakhouse is a "pass".. I've eaten at this particular outback more times than I can remember. Have been for years. Being Nampa's only Steakhouse (as of this writing) there really aren't many other choices. Most Outback steakhouses I've visited across the country serve a pretty good product. I always order the same thing so I am talking specifically about their "Outback Special". I love the seasoning that they use! Unfortunately, most of the time this particular Outback serves a very poor steak. To be fair, the restaurant is very nice, well maintained, and the management is always willing to try to make things right. I've had so many poor steaks there that it simply doesn't make up for it. I'd have to say that I'm off of this particular Outback for awhile.

It sucks. I whent to this place and had no wait. Sat down and all of the sudden the both next to us was complaing about there beer been flat. Another booth by us was complaining about there food bening over done. We haven't even ordered yet. The Mrs. wanted to go and I said to give them a chance.

Well, I ordered Prime rib, I got it room temp and it was over way cooked and too too salty. And I didn't even get my salad. The Mrs. ordered a house stake and it came to us burnt with no salad. My little girl had the chicken strip dinner and the table would have ben ezer to eat and the fries were not done..

We finaly got our drinks after we have ben served and of course they were flat. The waiter that brought us our drinks asked if everything was all right we bolth said NO.. the waiter responed O, and that was it. he came back with the bill I took it to the front desk, and was asked again was it was ok I said NO it was not. Again O that sucks...

The Lady at the front (where you pay at) asked us if we wanted to take it home and I said HELL no.. And just replied O well that will be 65 buck.. The Manager was there the entire time i was talking to this lady..

Well long story short, always listen to the Mrs.

We will never and I mean never go to that place again.

But to leave on a positive note the decor was nice.

Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor.. In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.
