We recently moved from Florida to Idaho
and Wheelers is 100% all Idaho. It was one of the first uniquely Idahoan places we went. I recently started a blog all about the differences between Idaho and Flroida because there's so many and Wheelers is in there. Check it out if you're interested. http://idahoswamprat.tumblr.com/

Family owned and operated since 1953.
Wheeler's is one of the last family owned drive-in's in this area. I believe it is owned by a third generation original owner. They have oblong burgers served on a hoagie bun, hot dogs are split and grilled, homemade onion rings, fry sauce, finger steaks, korn dogs, hand spun shakes, floats, spins, sodas, chocolate coke, scotch and soda, you name it! All of the good old time food that you remembered as a kid or that you have heard your parents talk about.
The employees are nice and friendly and actually act like they are glad you came in. They make you feel welcome. There is no inside seating, but they do have a very nice covered patio area. They also don't have speakers, which I love! You actually order face to face with a person!
For anyone looking for a treat and a family owned burger stand, Wheeler's is the place to go! My family and I have been coming here for years, and my kids are bringing their kids now. Family traditions!!

One of the last great American burger stands.
A true "old school" family-run burger shack, this place has been churning out burgers, shakes and fries since the 50's and I don't think the menu has changed much since then. Be warned, nothing healthy here- no salads, wraps, etc. They have home-made corn dogs and onion rings, both are highly recommended. But it's the burger that's the star of the show... my personal fave is the Wheeler Dealer, a double patty monster with thick bacon... these salty, greasy, messy masterpieces are a far cry from the dry, sanitized burger you'll get at a chain like Sonic. If you're not careful, you'll find the burger juice has run all the way down your arm to your elbow.
