You can easily share as I did not finish my pancakes. It is popular and thus the downside is the noise- the table next to us, with kids of course, seemed to be having a conversation with the entire restaurant and thus it was difficult to hear anything at my own table.
Love, Love, Love.
The first time we went to Goldy's for breakfast, we were shocked at the time it would take to get seated. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we found out that you can leave your phone number and they will call you when your table is ready. I wish other restaurants would adopt the same policy. So now when we go there, we assume we will wait 45 minutes or an hour and take the opportunity to go to the Farmer's Market, shopping or to swing by a coffee shop while we wait.
I have never had bad service or food there. They have the best hollandaise in town, amazing potatoes, delicious pancakes, amazing hot cocoa, and the eggs are cooked perfectly every single time. It is absolutely worth the wait to get in the door. We go there at least once a week and when I see people walk in asking how long the wait is and roll their eyes and start to turn around, I will always tell them I would wait twice as long and they won't regret it.
This would never been accepted in Ramsey's book.. First impression, you are not welcome unless you are inside seated. Then when you are seated, hurry up and eat so the people outside the restaurant waiting for 30 minutes gets a seat. Turn table, but don't expect proper customer service, and don't expect refill on your 3.50 dollar cup of coffee. This place was rated as the best breakfast in Bon Appetite, what the hell, who paid them to write that. To give some restaurant the credentials one must also look at the entire experience not just the food. This place is not worth the wait or the bill. Go else where, better eat at home at least no one is trying to push you out the door before the last gulp of coffee going down.
superior breakfast. We didn't get any egg dishes but it was the best fruit bowl I have ever had - appearance, taste, cost were all great. My mocha had the handdrawn swirls in it. I ate there with 2 small children and food was prompt, they had crayons, lids were on their cups and attention was great. Excellent waffles, granola, pancakes. We saw long lines at other times but we walked right in mid-morning on a Thursday. Really well priced food. Small but nice atmosphere. We loved it! If we lived in Boise we would be regulars.
