No longer a fun club!:(.
I used to go there on goth night Sunday nights, and kareoke night on Wednesdays. Some of the most intense and meaningful memories of my life were created here in 2010. I was VERY disappointed when for whatever stupid reason, somebody decided to turn it back into a teeny bopper club like it was in 2000. Now instead of pounding industrial, EBM and darkwave goth music, there is only pop and rap crap on Friday and Saturday nights. It's not even open on Sunday anymore. I wish we could get our club back to Sin. I'd go and dance there, but I don't think the 18 to 20 something fratboy/girl crowd would approve of my catsuits and UV reactive hairfalls.

Okay for the 18-20 crowd, no fun for the rest of us..
Please note that the Sin nightclub is no longer Sin! My friends and I had heard a few things about the place and finally decided to check it out. Unfortunately we learned that it had been renamed to Bogies and was now an 18+ club rather than a 21+. We have been to many clubs like that before and all of them still serve alcohol and have an adult atmosphere just the same, the only difference is that they card you when you order a drink.
This time I think not. We paid $5 to get into the club only to find out that there was no alcohol served there. The entire place was kiddie hour. Being 21 and 22 made us easily the oldest people there. The music was a terrible mix of ghetto rap and top 20 hits, most of which aren't even appropriate dance songs. There were members of the 18-20 crowd everywhere grinding up on each other and acting as though they were the coolest things to hit the club scene.
All in all I would say that if you're in that awkward age between 18-21 when you can't go to a real club but there's nothing else to do, Bogies is a cool enough place if you don't mind paying JUST to go hang out with others in your age group.
However, if like us you are over 21 and looking to enjoy some time in an adult atmosphere with good music and a few drinks the Balcony is a way better bet.
I am sad that I never got to see Sin in its prime but Bogies has ruined the name of what was formerly Boise's raunchiest club.
