Tips for Romano's Macaroni Grill

Stay away if you want to stay healthy. I got sick while eating at Romano's and definately would not recommend this place to anyone - they refused to help pay for my emergency room visit, and were very rude when I asked for help in paying my $1400.00 doctor and hospital bills.

They denied any wrong doing even though I got sick while still sitting at the table after consuming their food.

It was the worst food experience I've had in my entire life - STAY AWAY FROM ROMANO'S - IT'S BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH.

OverRated !. I had reservation for a small party during lunch time. The place was empty. The staff was nice.

Any ways at first the staff was attentive on getting the orders for drinks and the food, and

that’s were the service ended. The drinks ran dry the grilled food was over cooked. For example the grilled Jumbo shrimp was dry as a piece of cardboard. The pasta was cooked well but the sauces they used were very bland. I believe a box of Macaroni and cheese would of tasted better than some of the pasta’s that were at the table..

We ate we had laughs not do to the food, but to our own company. It was very over priced for the quality of food. The plates that were ordered ranged in price from $12-17 a plate and a lot of us, left hungry and thirsty. I my self and I know a lot of other people who went to our luncheon, will not be going back any time soon. I gave it 2 Stars for the very nice decor and the prompt service we received at the beginning.

I guess as the other reviews say: summed up by thatonekid “Depends when you go, who’s cooking and who serves you” ..

Depends when you go, who is cookin' and who serves you.. I have gone at busy times and gotten great service with good recomendations...have loved thier pasta and salmon. However... went over for lunch, early afternoon- when the place was almost bare and got cruddy service from all except the bar tender who was the only guy to do a good job -serving me water, but still, he surprised me by going out of his way to make sure I was comfy, never had to ask for that agua. The annoying waitress and waiter ingnored me when I walked in until the chef back yonder shouted them over and seemingly had nothing better to do at work than to sit there and chat two feet away from me. My favorite eggplant parm arrived to my expectant taste buds with a rubbery, rather than tender texture, complete with big ole stems of basil that had the mouth feel of noxious weeds caught in a boat propeller. Angel hair was the only thing that didn't disapoint. Hubby got spaghetti that smelled like pit sweat. What happened to my ol' reliable?

Performing chefs cook up rustic, home-style Italian entrees at this buzzing family restaurant.. In Short
A boisterous, all-ages crowd of pasta lovers pack this energetic Italian spot, where chefs clad in white hats and red scarves keep diners wide-eyed by showing their moves in the busy open kitchen. The menu boasts family-sized portions of hearty traditional fare, from antipasti, chicken and pasta dishes to seafood, steak and wood-fired pizzas. Signature plates include grilled pork chops, lobster ravioli, and penne rustica with shrimp, grilled chicken and smoked prosciutto in cream sauce.

Hair In The Bread. One of the grossest things that can happen is finding HAIR in your food....not only was there hair in the food, but it was BAKED into the bread they serve before they bring the entree out. It was utterly disgusting and made me lose my appetite. They did not even apoligize, all they said after I informed them of the baked in hair...was "oh, we will get you some more bread" - at least a SORRY would suffice in some way...I will not be eating there again because of that reason...

Great Salmon. This place is one of my favorites, from the decor to the staff. This is a all around great night out experience. From a group or romantic date, this should be your choice.

Predictable. This is near the mall, traffic is bad, atmosphere is noisy, food is predictable. This is a large chain restaurant with a "disneyland/world atmosphere".

Don't Go on the weekend:). This is one of the few good Italian resturants in the Boise area. I have always had good service, my mother is in a electric cart and they have always been accommodating without any hesitation. The bread is sooo goood. I have never had a bad meal here. And I always end up taking some home because the potions are large.

Marvelous Macaroni's. My husband and I love going to this wonderful Italian restaurant, the atmosphere is marvelous and whether you are in a small group or a large crowd the space easily accomodates all. The stone oven baked bread is a delicious way to start the meal, and the chicken marsela is outstanding.
