Read the reviews before I went. I read the reviews before we went and saw some good and some bad so I wasnt sure what to expect. I was delighted that our evening went so nicely. My wife and I both ordered the prime rib. I came to us perfect and very nice flavor. My wife ordered the seasonal veg which turned out to be asparagus which she raved about. Cooked slightly crunchy, not mushy like we had other places. The young lady serving us did a great job. 4 stars instead of 5 is for atmosphere only.

Good. Not Great.. Went with a girlfriend for dinner and really enjoyed our meal. We had the crab & artichoke dip appetizer (yummy... very cream cheese-y, so if you don't like cream cheese, skip it); prime rib (also yummy, and a huge portion) and creme brulee for dessert (super creamy and delish). Overall, I'd recommend. It was a tasty meal and the service was great.

Save your money!!!. the worst food I have ever eaten for the price. The seafood was overdone and chewy. save yourself some money and go pour yourself a can of tomatoe sauce over boiled spaghetti. many table around us seemed to have the same complaints and comments about their meals.

Rude and expensive. On one visit, the crab legs were skimpy, expensive and clearly damaged in freezing as to be tasteless. The prime rib was overdone. But my wife likes the soup and salad, so we went back. On this visit, we asked why we had to wait when there were so many empty tables. "5 table per server rule," we were told. When we said it was silly for us to sit on a bench rather than at a table, the owner said, "Why are you complaining about waiting two minutes." (we'd waited more than 10 at this point) When we said maybe he should have more servers, he told us to leave and never come back.

Order the Prime Rib - You won't be disappointed.. I am often disappointed when ordering Prime Rib at restaurants. NOT THE CASE Here! It was a special night out and we were in the mood for a nice - GOOD dinner. We both ordered the Prime Rib. The regular cut was at least 1 1/4 inches thick. The larger cut had to be more than 1 1/2" thick. They were cooked to perfection, but most importantly, very tender and well seasoned. The caesar salad had a great "bite" and complimented the meal well. The Alaskan crab legs I would pass on next time. They were a bit dry and lacked the sweetness that I was hoping for.

I Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great cut of Beef and wonderful service.

(If you're from the Seattle area, LS&B would be ranked right up there with Jak's in Issaquah. If you're not from Seattle, that's quite a compliment.)

Filet was fabulous. We have been looking for a great steak in town for months. Last night we went to Lock Stock and had that steak. We ordered the Steak Oscar and Cedar Plank Salmon. It was delicious... I strongly reccomend

Great beef. The Lock Stock was great. I had their Barrel steak and it was cooked perfectly as was my baked potato. I really got my money's worth. Service was outstanding and our drinks were plenty strong, not like those chains you go to and cant get a decent drink. My wife and friends had the prime rib and their only problem was it was too much food. Our wine was excellent and very reasonably priced I loved it mostly because it was not pretentious like so many steakhouses you go to. Great place to go with friends or your wife.

I don't know what experience that other guy had but it sounds like he hates Idaho. Maybe he should just go back to whatever highly sophisticated city he was from and take his rage with him. Lock Stock awsome

Maybe the "best prime rib" in Boise is the worst in the United States.. OK let's get right to the point: If you want good prime rib, don't go here. Maybe good restaurants are just hard to come by in this state. But I have eaten some excellent prime rib in my day, so I guess I just have to lower my expectations for Idaho. Case in point, House of Prime Rib in Fan Francisco. I've even had better prime rib in all-you-can-eat buffets in Las Vegas. To tell you the truth, this was some of the worst prime rib I've ever had in my life. Am I getting the point across? Did I mention the prime rib was terrible? OK if you notice, the two other reviews mention salad bar and steaks. Well if the raves on a restaurant are for the salad bar, you know you're in trouble.....

The first clue as to the quality of this place should have been how dead it was. Very few patrons on a Sunday night.

The ambiance was nice, and the staff, though seemingly having a background as farm hands or sheep herders, tried their best to appear sophisticated. The wines were actually very good, but then again, they DON'T MAKE THE WINES. Wines came from Sonoma and Napa, of course they are going to be good. So to the food.... Not much to say, my prime rib 11oz was 6oz of fat and cold when it arrived. My wife's had a lot of gristle and was ice cold as well. There's just no point to go into detail about the nature of the food as it was just of the poorest quality. The sour dough rolls were tasty. What started out as great expectations ended up a big disappointment. I think I'll stick to chains such as Outback for my beef cravings, especially in the desert wastelands of Idaho.

Amazing Steaks!. If you want the best steak in Idaho, you've got the right place! My mouth was watering just reading the (clever custom woodcut) menu. Though the "Black and Blue" is my personal favorite, several of my table mates raved about the Prime Rib and the Filet. My steak was HUGE, perfectly cooked, and served with a side of garlic mashed potatoes to boot. The service was quick and friendly and we even got to meet the owner, who came to check on our experience. YUM! I can't wait to go back to Boise!

Great all you can eat chowder and salad bar. The best pats of this place is the all you can eat salad and chowder bar. The food is good and if you like prime rib it's the best in Boise. The service is top notch, but the price are a bit high.
