Best Thai Food in Boise!. When we want Thai we go to Chiang Mai. Anytime we go to another restaurant, we cannot help but compare the food and service to this Thai Restaurant! The food is fantastic, overall the Yumnumtok is our favorite. This salad is made with beef, lemongrass, rice powder, mint, cilantro, onions and is marvelous! It is definitely spicy, especially after a few bites, and the cucumbers serve nicely to cool down those taste buds (Singha helps). The restaurant does not have a five star appearance, it is really a 'hole-in-the-wall' place, but you cannot go wrong with the food. Also worth trying, are the dried green beans, larb, potstickers.

The food is also reasonably priced, about $30 for two with drinks.

enjoy!

Best thai in Boise! Best red curry ever.. You won't be satisfied at any other Thai resturant after dining at Chiang Mai. The staff is friendly, the service is great, and the food is to die for! Try the Mongolian Beef...it has a richness unlike any other in town. The Pineapple Red Curry is a must-try also. Order with anywhere from 1 to 5 stars to discover just how hot you like it. I recommend 2 stars on most dishes. Before you dive into dinner, though, you must try one of the appetizers...The Satay Chicken won't disappoint you. Chicken skewers with a rich coconut milk glaze which is grilled and served with authentic peanut sauce and cucumber salad. The Fresh Rolls with just a hint of cilantro will make your tastebuds tingle. Healthy food has never tasted so good. A few more recomendations from the menu include the Sweet and Sour Shrimp (sounds basic but this is extraordinary in flavor and texture), the Sesame Chicken (The sauce is the star here), and the Sticky Rice for dessert. So different, but oh-so-good. Visit them and you won't be disappointed. Go back again and you'll be even happier. Keep going and you might run into us. We are there at least twice a week. Yes, it's that good.
