Sometimes a bad review needs to be said....
Unwilling to accommodate a larger crowd ?Our group showed up on a Saturday afternoon about 4:00 there was only one other patron in the entire establishment and they said they wouldn't serve us. Not sure why? Our group was on a bicycle ride in celebration of a birthday enjoying a nice summer day. The group consists of nurses, technicians, engineers, machinist, dental professionals, business professionals, etc. staple members of our community. After talking to the manager he agreed to serve us but the wait staff acted like we weren't good enough for the place and basically let us stay long enough to make us feel really unwelcome. Nothing is more of a turn off than someone (a waitress, and bartender) looking down there nose at you. We are so sorry Bown Crossing Tavern for inconveniencing you!

Sucks!!!.
If you're looking for a loud sports bar atmosphere with overpriced food, snobbish and argumentative staff and management then this is the place for you.
I wanted to take my wife out for a nice dinner on her birthday so I made reservations for two in advanced. We were seated at an elevated pub table with stools in the bar. This wasn't quite what I had planned so when I asked if we could have a table in the dining room I was brushed off by the hostess who said "we're really busy, this is all we have" as she walked away.
Deciding I wasn't about to pay top dollar for a steak I settled for a burger and my wife had sushi. My burger sucked. It clearly was broiled right where a salmon filet had been broiled so it had a nice fishy taste. My wife did say her sushi was good.
The best part of the evening was when we were leaving I asked for a business card with contact info for the owner or manager. The gentleman I spoke to said he was the manager and introduced himself. I explained my anger and disappointment at our dining experience and after hearing a clearly insincere apology told him we were never coming back. As we were walking out the door we ran into an acquaintance who asked how our dining experience was. I told her it was awful. The manager I spoke to must have overheard me and assumed I was speaking to a customer whom I didn’t know as he proceeded to interrupt us and create a scene repeatedly saying “This is who we are”. “People come here for this experience”.
Perhaps you will have a different experience. There are too many fine dining establishments in the valley to patronize and I’m NEVER going back.

My favorite Sushi!!.
I love going to the Tavern for sushi! I haven't tried the steakhouse side, but the sushi side is great. I especially love the Special K roll... Delicious.
The staff is a little young, and more than once I've watched the hostess text message from the front stand the entire time I was there... But, the servers do well.
It's a little pricey. If I'm craving sushi in a hurry, I'll do Superb. But, if I'm looking for a date night out, The Tavern is definitely my choice.
