Terrible Experience!. I just went to this restaurant for one of my best friend's birthday and I was actually really excited to try it out since my friend had mentioned the food was great. I left so upset and disappointed and I was not the only one. Our entire table of 12 was shocked at the TERRIBLE service we experienced. Now, I was a server for about 8 years at one point so I know what it's like to be super busy and I was trying to be understanding but the whole experience was very disappointing... Not only was the server impossible to find but she had a really bad attitude from the start. It wasn't even that busy and it not only took forever to get our food but after I received my pasta I had to go find the server and ask for some bread which she mentioned would be an additional charge. No problem, a little bit of bread with fettuccine is always nice. After I had finished my meal and everyone was done eating I again had to search for our server to let her know that I was done with my meal and that I no longer wanted the bread. She was VERY rude and walked away without saying a word. 15 minutes later she brings the bread over and says with a super rude attitude that the owner/cook said we had to pay for the bread because it was ordered. I explained we had all finished our meal ages ago but her attitude was so terrible I just told her to forget it. She added 18% gratuity to all our meals on top of everything else which was ridiculous since she had given us terrible service!!!!! I will never go back to that place again and I can't believe that even the owner acted that way. They OBVIOUSLY don't care about the repeat business and treat they customers like CRAP!…
Great Food, Interesting Decor....
My wife and I have eaten at Rick's several times and plan on many more meals there. The Salmon I have was one of the best Salmon dishes I've had, and I'm not a big Salmon eater.
I recently tried the Wings and love his Celery Slaw. The wings are great, not your typical Buffalo style (which is my favorite comparing all wings to The Anchor Bar's in Buffalo NY, birthplace of the original), but have unique combination of spice and sweetness. Rick's method of cooking them is different also and make for an overall great appetizer.
I think Rick's is a Diamond in the rough, one of the best of a couple of Meridians good restaurants.…
Great Food But Incredibly Rude Owner. This restaurant has some of the best food ever! Unfortunately my networking group and I will no longer be patrons of this establishment after Rick, the owner, berated and humiliated one of our networking members right in front of the whole group for a complete misunderstanding, and without an apology. I network with around 10 other business owners on a weekly basis in the cigar shop next door, which, apparently, is part of Rick's restaurant. Needless to say, he left a bad taste in the mouths of some prominent businessmen who will never eat at his restaurant again.…
